Google makes hundreds of changes every year. Keeping up with Google isn’t easy! Some of the more recent changes include; new ranking algorithms, ad strength ratings, and ad type changes. As Google certified experts, we have to constantly train to stay up to date on all of Google’s changes, keeping this burden off your back. Here’s one change in particular that we felt we shoud share with you:
At the beginning of 2022, Google announced that it is replacing the commonly known “Google My Business” with “Google Business Profile” (GBP), an updated way for local businesses to manage their local listing. On Monday, April 4th, 2022, Google announced that the “Google My Business” app was going away. Instead, you now have to manage your GBP profile through Google Maps and Google Search.
What does this mean? For you app lovers, it’s time to switch, your app will soon no longer work. Google has been making many efforts recently to simplify their platform and this is one of them.
For our clients:
As a Google Partner who manages multiple listings, we still have access to the old dashboard. We still are able to implement the proven marketing strategies that many of our current clients enjoy - rest easy!
